6 large Granny Smith apples
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon chopped crystallized ginger
5 tablespoons seedless raisins
6 dates
1 cup apple juice
(GF, DF, NF, V)
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Core the apples, being careful not to pierce the bottom skin.
Mix spices, raisins and dates together and stuff the cavity of each apple with the mixture.
Place the apples in the apple juice on a baking tray and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
Pour the juice over the apples prior to serving.
